Financial Assistance Programs

Northwest Classical Academy is committed to providing a classical education that produces students whose hearts and minds are focused on the good, the true, and the beautiful and who are able to reflect these things into the world around them. We recognize that, although being a tuition-free institution, the costs associated with attending can present a major financial commitment for families. Therefore, we aim to provide assistance to all those who qualify in two separate ways, through our own Financial Aid program, and by participating in the Georgia Department of Education’s Free & Reduced Lunch (FRL) program.

Information about both programs, including how to apply and frequently asked questions, can be found below.

FINANCIAL AID

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • The completion of the financial aid application is not a binding agreement that any assistance will be granted.

  • Due to the possibility of financial changes in a household throughout the year, financial aid applications will be evaluated on an ongoing basis.

  • Application processing time will vary based on volume and applicant response rate.

  • Benefits will not begin until after the application is approved; benefits are not retroactive.

  • Financial aid is available to both new and returning students; only one form per household needs to be completed each year.

  • Households must re-apply for financial aid each year; an award in one year does not imply financial aid will be awarded in succeeding years.

BENEFITS

Should a household qualify for financial aid, all currently-enrolled students in the household will receive the following benefits:

  • Assistance with uniform costs

  • Discount on mandatory School Supply fee

  • Discount on optional school-related fees, including field trip and club fees

  • Discount on extra-curricular activities, including sports team fees and after-school care

VERIFICATION & AWARDING

  • Supporting documentation will be requested to verify your eligibility for financial aid.

  • All requested verification forms and documentation must be submitted to Northwest Classical Academy before an application will be considered.

  • Application outcome notifications will be e-mailed to applicants.

FAQs

Q: Can I fill out one application to apply for both programs?

A: No. Per the Georgia Department of Education, the FRL application may only be used for FRL eligibility purposes and no other financial assistance programs.

Q: Why doesn’t the link to the online FRL application work?

A: Per the Georgia Department of Education, the FRL application only becomes available starting July 1st. Families are encouraged to complete the application online once it is available.

Q: Is it possible to be approved for one program but not the other?

A: Yes. The two programs operate completely independently from one another and, as such, approval for one does not guarantee or imply approval for the other.

Q: Who do I contact if I have questions about either program?

A: For questions about NCA Financial Aid, please email financialaid@nwclassical.org. For questions about FRL, please email frl@nwclassical.org. You may also call the front desk at (470) 502-9700.
