About the Event
We look forward to sharing a memorable morning with grandparents of Northwest Classical Academy on Friday, September 18. This is an opportunity to showcase the achievements of our Kindergarten through 12th-grade students while also experiencing our rich curriculum through classroom visits and student performances. We hope your grandparents will join us for our fifth annual Grandparents' Day!

If students are going home with their grandparents, grandparents will proceed through the carline at the front door. If you are parked in the staff or student lot, please wait for the attendant to call you into carline before you leave your parking spot.
Grandparents who are not taking students home are asked to leave campus first, as to clear car space for carline to go smoothly. Re will park guests not taking grandkids on the big playground. Parking attendees will assist.
Grandparents must display their carline tags in the windshield. Students will not be dismissed to grandparents without their carline tag.
Carline is likely to take 30-45 minutes. Thank you for your patience as we get everyone on their way in the safest process possible.

Volunteer Information
Thank you for being a part of making this day so special for our community!

During the Welcome and Plenary Sessions, volunteers will be tasked with either guest check-in, food set-up, or greeter. Once the first session begins, volunteers are asked to go to the classroom they are assisting in. During Lower School class rotations, volunteers are invited to help teachers facilitate students, socialize with grandparents, and take photos.
Regarding photos taken during Grandparents' Day, please utilize the Google Drive folder that will be shared with you on September 17 by Ms. Mariam Janad, NCA Communications Assistant. After approval, she will share the folder with the rest of the class. Please do not share the folder with any other parents; Ms. Janad will take care of the distribution!
-
If volunteers would like to leave with their students at the end of Grandparents’ Day (10:30 a.m.), they must proceed through the early carline or check their students out from the front office.
Otherwise, all-school afternoon dismissal carline will be at 12:00 p.m.
FAQs
Are RSVPs required?
1
Yes, RSVPs are required to attend Grandparents’ Day. Spots are limited, so submit your RSVP here before September 16 or before spots are filled.
How will my students find me as an attendee?
2
When RSVPing, you will be asked to enter the name and grade level of each student you are associated with. We will share this list with teachers, and Upper School students will be dismissed from class to the gym to enjoy the festivities with you! Lower School students will remain in their classes for both rotations, during which you are invited to visit their classrooms for special presentations and activities.
What are “Spartan Shields”?
3
Grandparents are invited to share their support for their NCA student by making a donation to the Spartan Fund, to help offset the cost of general operating expenses and opportunities to enrich the educational experiences of our students. The Spartan Fund supports community events, athletics, fine arts, teacher support, financial aid for families in need, building and grounds improvements, and more.
When making a donation to the Spartan Fund before or during Grandparents’ Day, grandparents and special family friends are invited to show their support on a Spartan Shield, which will be on display during the event with the donor’s name and the students they are supporting on behalf of.
Community members who give $2,500 or above annually will receive an invitation to our Celebration Dinner the following fall. Those who give $600 or above will receive an NCA-branded gift.
