Dear NCA families,
Thank you so much for your help to make carline run smoothly! It is evident that a number of you adjusted your arrival times, and the impact was immediate. I am excited to report that the backup onto Hwy 41 has been significantly reduced and almost eliminated. Instead of the usual overflow onto the highway by 2:45 p.m., we are now beginning carline at 2:55 p.m. with little or no backup on the road. We are still closing carline at our target time of 3:25 p.m. A surge at a particular time (yesterday it was around 3:00 p.m.) will still fill the turn lane, but the more even distribution of cars has alleviated the early congestion and potential safety hazard without having any negative impact on wait times or the overall duration of carline.
I appreciate the teamwork, and I hope this adjustment has led to a more pleasant carline experience for many of you. Thank you especially to those of you who have begun arriving a little bit later. Clubs will start in a couple weeks, and we expect to see even more improvement at that time since fewer cars will be going through the afternoon carline.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Matthew Reger
